Conservation and adaptive reuse of a historic house
A historic house in Qornet Chehwan, part of the area’s architectural and social heritage, undergoing conservation and adaptive reuse. The project began with a full architectural and structural assessment, prioritizing the stabilization and restoration of the building’s integrity. Interventions favored traditional techniques, with necessary modern additions carefully integrated and concealed.
Particular attention was given to the restoration of the pitched tiled roof, a defining element reflecting two construction phases, where structural reinforcement, material replacement, and careful detailing ensured its preservation while making it fully weatherproof.
